Training of women farmers and youth on raising of mat-type nursery

Venue: Mishrauli, Sakra Block Date: 9th July, 2013 Total Participants: 20 Women Farmers and Youths Trained on Raising of Mat-Type Nursery A day long training programme was organized on 9 July, 2013, at Mishrauli village, Muzaffarpur on raising of mat-type nursery for mechanised transplanting of paddy seedling. The participants of the program comprised of women farmers and rural youths from the nearby villages. They were exposed to the different components of bed-preparation, nursery raising on plastic sheet, etc. The sessions of the event included exposure to the technological know-how on the different component such as seed rate, irrigation, and leveling of nursery bed area that is a pre-requisite for maintaining nursery in good condition. The queries of the participants were answered by the CSISA scientist, Dr. Pankaj Kumar.
